ONLINE: 8/20 -Building Financial Projections for Business Plans (9:00am-12:00pm) August 20, 2022, 9:00am CDT August 20, 2022, 12:00pm CDT

This will be an ONLINE workshop via Zoom.

This workshop is designed to walk students through the process of developing financial projections for their proposed business plans. The workshop will use a business case study to show the development of a projected (proforma) Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.

It is highly recommended that attendees be familiar with basic accounting principles or first attend our Accounting Fundamentals workshop before registering for this workshop.

Topics to be discussed include:

Understanding Financial Terms and Concepts
Projecting sales volumes for proposed products/services
Pricing and projected revenue generation strategies
Determining sales Breakeven point
Calculating required Sources and Uses of Capital
Estimating working capital needs
Use of financial projections in ongoing business

Instructor: William Tice

William Tice is a retired financial and operations executive with McDonald’s. As an advisor and mentor, he has more than 35 years of business experience in various industries, including real estate finance, franchising, operations, and public accounting. He has expertise in leadership, operations management, business valuations, and business policy development and implementation. He is skilled in strategic planning and execution, consulting, and developing managerial talent. William has a BS in Business Administration / Accounting from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is also licensed as a CPA (inactive) in the state of Tennessee.
