Join SCORE Nashville for the Powerhouse Panels & Pitches: Women Inspiring Women event, sponsored by the Lester, Muriel, and Edie Fraser Women Entrepreneur Fund for SCORE & Lipscomb University! This FREE event will offer relevant financial, networking, and empowering information for women in business.
Additionally, representatives from as many as 40 women-owned businesses will have the opportunity to participate in a first-round, 90-second pitch to a panel of judges. Judges will narrow the morning pitches to 10 finalists, who will pitch in the final round in the afternoon. The 10 finalists will have 5 minutes to present to the panel of judges.
The event will be held at Lipscomb University in The Swang Business Center, 4 University Park Drive, Nashville, TN, 37215. The event will be held from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. CDT, July 22, 2022.
9-9:30 a.m.: Pitch Registrants Check-in
9-10 a.m.: Registration and Networking
9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: First-Round Pitches
10-10:15 a.m.: Opening Remarks (Jeff Cohu and Anna-Vija McClain)
10:15-10:45 a.m.: Keynote Speaker (Julia Bonner Zade)
10:45-11:15 a.m.: Session 1 – Effectively Price Products and Services to Enhance Your Bottom Line (Sandy DeWald)
11:15-11:30 a.m.: Break and Networking
11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.: Funding Round Table (LaTonya Channel, Charlotte Peacock, Gwen Schaefer, Amelia Watts)
12:15-12:55 p.m.: Free Boxed Lunch and Networking
12:55-1 p.m.: Announcement of 10 finalists
1-1:30 p.m.: Session 2 – Best Practices for Finding and Securing Grants (Cathy Anderson)
1:30-2 p.m.: Session 3 - Women Collaborating with Women (April Britt)
2-2:15 p.m.: Break and Networking

PITCH COMPETITION INFORMATION AND RULES:
Registrants will receive an email within 48 hours of signing up for the event with a link to register for the Pitch Competition.
The Pitch Competition is limited to 40 participants.
Registrants cannot pitch for more than one business and cannot be involved with more than one business participating in the pitch competition.
To qualify for the Pitch Competition, registrants will provide:
-Name/s of Presenter
-Current Business License Number
-Verification the business is majority woman-owned
Pitch Competition Award Amounts:
-First Place: $3,000
-Second Place: $2,000
-Third Place: $1,000
-Audience Favorite: $500 Top three places are ineligible
-Additional Awards: (2) $250 (Chosen randomly from the remaining first-round pitches. Must be present to receive the award)
